The Black Phoenix Pylon
of the Temple of Set
The Black Phoenix Pylon was founded on the occasion of the Spring Equinox XXVII A.S. (1992 ce) with the intention of establishing an environment on the Texas Gulf Coast where Setians might come together and explore such mysteries as are felt to be relevant to the established philosophy of the Temple of Set. Now as then, our goal is to create and maintain a magickal and intellectual atmosphere that is maximally conducive to the initiatory progress of all those who dwell within its gates.
The Black Phoenix Pylon annually publishes an internal newsletter that is designed to act as a medium of communication between the members of the Pylon and the Temple as a whole. The contents of said publication include a variety of materials that are reflective of both the individual and collective accomplishments of its membership. The expectation does exist that, as part of their personal commitment to the Work of the Pylon, each member will contribute to the publication.
The Black Phoenix continually seeks dedicated individuals who are sincerely interested in broadening their intellectual and spiritual horizons via serious discussion and effective GBM. Membership in the Black Phoenix is open to all third coast initiates of the Temple of Set who are willing to travel to join us in our Work and accept the challenges that Setian initiation and Pylon membership present. Individuals who are somewhat geographically distant and are interested in affiliation with the Black Phoenix (such as residents of Louisiana, Arkansas etc.) will be evaluated by the Pylon Sentinel on an individual basis.
All who would inquire be forewarned that the Black Phoenix is a group of individuals dedicated to the ideas of "Xeper" and "Remanifestation." This being the case, only the serious need apply.
